With the development of industry and the improvement of people's electricity usage, the capacity and density of power distribution have also increased significantly. The impact and losses caused by short-circuit faults in the power grid are becoming increasingly unacceptable. Traditional disconnection devices often take several hundred milliseconds from fault recognition to fault removal, while fast disconnection can shorten this time to within 30ms. This not only improves the transmission capacity and stability of the power grid, reduces maintenance costs and recovery time for faults, but also quickly isolates the faulty area, thereby ensuring the voltage quality of non-faulty areas and avoiding significant losses to industrial production.

One of the important prerequisites for fast disconnection is the rapid identification of fault currents. The traditional relay protection device's fault response time is about 40~60 milliseconds, which obviously does not meet the requirements of fast disconnection devices. For this reason, our company has developed the LH800 specialized fast protection device, which can reduce the fault current response time to within 3 milliseconds


Applicable Range of LH800 Fast Protection Device:

The LH800 fast protection device is suitable for feeder protection and measurement control in non-direct grounding systems or small resistance grounding systems with a voltage level below 40.5kV. It can be installed locally in the switchgear secondary instrument room to specifically address the rapid response issue of fault currents. The LH800 can be used in conjunction with traditional relay protection devices to cover the needs of conventional protection and fast protection for various loads.

The main functions of LH800 are:

Protection function: Fast fault current protection with a response time less than 3ms.

Measurement and control function: Measurement of three-phase currents, local and remote disconnection/closing of circuit breakers, acquisition of input remote signals, device remote signal changes, accident remote signals, pulse signals, and digital command output.

Setting functions: clock setting, fixed value setting, reclosing setting, communication settings, etc.

Display function: measurement information display, status information display, etc.

Communication function: Ethernet and RS485 communication interfaces.

Recording storage function: SOE function, fault recording wave function, etc.
