Responding to the Call: Accelerating Emergency Repair

In the early hours of August 1, a switchgear in Section II of the 10 kV busbar at a 110 kV substation in Shaanxi Province suddenly malfunctioned. At this critical moment, the DGXK2 High-Capacity High-Speed Switching Device manufactured by Lanhe Electrical operated accurately and successfully interrupted the fault current, preventing the fault from expanding and providing strong protection for the main transformer.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., after receiving an urgent notification from the power supply company's on-site personnel, Lanhe Electrical immediately activated its emergency response plan. An emergency repair team consisting of three senior technical engineers quickly assembled and departed for the site at 5:00 a.m., carrying professional tools and equipment, including a rapid isolator, current-limiting fuse, and testing instruments. The team arrived at the site at 10:00 a.m. Leveraging their in-depth understanding of the equipment structure, the engineers quickly identified Phases A and C as requiring repair, and completed the work efficiently through close coordination and an efficient division of responsibilities.


Professional Engineers: Building a Strong Safety Lifeline”

Throughout the emergency repair process, the technical team strictly complied with standardized operating procedures. After replacing the rapid isolators and current-limiting fuses on the two phases, the engineers applied specialized insulating wrapping materials to reinforce the insulation of exposed conductive parts, ensuring the long-term operational reliability of the equipment. The team subsequently conducted 32 kV withstand-voltage tests and simulated operating mechanism tests phase by phase on Phases A, B, and C. After all tests were successfully completed, the equipment was confirmed ready for electricity supply.

From arrival at the site to the completion of all tests and confirmation that the equipment was ready for electricity supply, the entire process took only approximately 4.5 hours. At around 15:00, the Lanhe Electrical team worked with the substation personnel to successfully restore power to the entire line. This significantly shortened the emergency repair time compared with the industry average and effectively ensured the electricity needs of local residents and businesses during the evening peak period.

The DGXK2 High-Capacity High-Speed Switching Device (DGXK2-12/3150-63), manufactured by Lanhe Electrical, has been in operation since November 2024 and has continuously provided technical and safety support for the parallel operation of two main transformers. The device can identify and clear short-circuit faults within milliseconds, effectively optimizing load distribution, reducing network impedance, and significantly improving power supply reliability.
